Lost Underground

The cave is as cold as ice.

It is dark that you can not see a thing.

You are trap looking for light.

You finally find light and you climb out.

You go home and say to yourself

"Wow I'm never going to be lost underground.

Riding The Waves

This week I have been reading the book Riding The Waves.  In the book it shows lots of facts like how to surf  , the safety rules and others .   I learnt that even though you are on a kind of skateboard on water  the water is very dangerous because you could drown and die .  So if you want to surf you would have to go through simple surfing steps.  There are lots of waves but those are tiny waves for kids to swim.  In Australia , Hawaii , California , and South America... They have gigantic waves for adults that have skill and have guts to swim in but sometimes some of the waves  can be  so big that some one drowns.  

There are lots of tricks when you surf ,  like the pipeline .  The pipeline is a trick on where you swim inside of the wave .  If you ask me if it is scary , well dough it is because sometimes the trick fails.  If you are a learner here a steps to begin

1. Lie on your stomach.  Pretend to paddle with both hands
2. Put your hands down flat , next to your body
3. Press up with both hands.
4. Lung forward with one leg.
5. Bring your leg back to the front and turn to the side.
6. Keep your knees bent and raise your arms and here are

I really enjoyed the book but I am still scared that if I surf I might die.

Earning trust when you obey

Always treating people with kindness

Respect someone when they talk

Noticing others in need of help

Integrity to everyone especially to your classmates 

Never talk back or fight with anyone

Generous manners when someone gives

Cooperative words to other people

Opening space to others that need it

Offer people how they feel 

Participating in every activity

Easily work with your classmates 

Remember to be friends with everybody

Always have a positive attitude

Talking with good people

Include others into subjects

Very good people that you play with

Express your feelings to other people

School Is Fun

We learnt how to write poems and do different poems. Some poems rhyme and some do not. Here's one of my poems that I wrote.

School Is Fun

School is cool,

School is fun,

Playing in the rain,

Playing in the sun

Learning new things,

Reading and maths,

Numbers in your head,

Words that  you have

Interval at 11,

Playing with friends,

Wishing and wishing like a genie,

That the fun won’t end

Doing our spelling,

Writing down ten,

Always hard to write ,

I’ll have to write it again

School is the best,

Because I like to be with my friends,

All the time I use,

Is school time I spend.

Why Plants Grow

Today I am going to tell you why
you need plants.

Firstly plants as trees give oxygen
to people as you.  Trees are all around
you but some are not because they
are getting cut.  You should believe to
protect these plants because if we kill down
all the trees in the world you are killing
yourself.  This is a very important reason
why we should protect these plants.

Next plants can give food to people . 
Think of veggies like carrots , beetroots ,
and radish these are different to trees. 
These plants give fruits or veggies for
you to eat, but trees give air for you to
live and in return you give plants
carbon dioxide.  This type of thing is
like a life cycle.

Lastly plants give animals like birds and
others a home to live in  . plants give
animals a place for their newborns.
Trees are mostly for habitats for animals
that want to be protected.  Lastly plants
are useful to animals because animals
use the plants to hide / camouflage to
hide from predators.

You can now think about yourself
and think of trees because trees and
people are the same.

this year room 8a is having Kiwi Can a program that we are having.  Kiwi can is about learning and having fun.  We  have catch phrases like Kiwi can says speak to me truthfully and that is could honesty.  We have fun games for our energizer.  We learn about words like honesty , reliability , and our theme is Integrity.  Is is really fun and a good thing to have.
