Rules are Rules to keep safe and for your own health safety this why you can not go anyone's house . Even if its your Whanau's house. Because you could  get the virus at anytime ,any day, any second.

Lockdown Poem

Lock downs fun , lock downs cool
The best thing about it is that there no school,

But we still get home work and we have to do chores,
1 chores 2 chores 3 chores more.

4 weeks lock down  I can't wait ,
At home its dark , it where I don't want to stay

In then I'll sleep in because I am tired,
I'll stay at home , I don't wanna get the virus. 

LOCKDOWN

OHHH NOOOO New Zealand is on a 4 level lock down .
Tonight at 11:55  All supermarkets will be  closed for 4 weeks.
Everybody will have to stay inside.  It might be a little bit scary because schools will be locked as well.  Lucky for room 7 
Their still gonna have home work because their doing it online.
just remember to keep calm and safe

You can help by washing your hands.

Pests

Pest are bad  they are annoying ,
Their not worth not worth toying.


Rats , ants , cockroaches their  all the same ,
they all do their job , their dirty things.

Rats in the house fleas in your hair ,
They do what ever they don't care.

We should get rid of them , because 
We should kill them , we should try our bet

We can't stop all of them there are too much,
they will still do their things , alone or in a bunch

Is does not matter  they'll stay the same,
Pest is the word , pest is their name

POLY`FEST COMING UP.

Our traditional Polyfest is coming  this week.  Wed, 18 Mar 2020 – Sat, 21 Mar 2020.

Its going to be epic !!!

There are going to be lots of  really 

enthusiastic dances and performances.  All colleges will be there.

It will be  awesome.

It may be cancelled because of the  coronavirus.
That will be sad . they should really
recommend it to keep on going.

Kauri Trees

Our native Kauri trees are almost  extinct ( not existing.  kauri trees are most important to New Zealand .  With out it there would just be trees.

Kauri trees today , the numbers are only around to 7,500 hectares of Kauri trees left in New Zealand , 
both North and South island of New Zealand 

Kauri trees were on New Zealand 
when Maoris came to settle.  

We need to save our native trees by washing your shoes before you walk pass Kauri trees.

LOCKDOWN

This year Ruapotaka has had a lock down .  It was not really scary cause the lock down was during a test XD.  the year 7 and 8 were in a test and the lock down happened.  Its was funny because the 7 were really quite and the year 8 were loud .  The lock down ended when the time 
got to morning tea it was safe for us to go outside.

Water Shortage

If you like to drink water you should think how much you drink because in New Zealand  there may be a water shortage because there has not been that much rain in New Zealand in the north Island .  The rain is what you drink , because without rain the is no water. 

Rain is important in the history of mankind.  Without water you can not have any fizzy drinks or coffee .  You name anything that is liquid all of things that are liquid come from rain.

Rain is more important than you would ever think .  

Rain is gathered and is cleaned so that we can drink it.  Here are some things you can do.  Take short showers , Drink a little water or drink water if you really need it.

WATER FUN DAY

On Friday Ruapotaka school had a Water fun day.  The teachers had different games that had to do with water.

The house groups were mixed and off Ruapotaka went with the water fun day.There Were different games most kids were on the water slide . It was epic!   Lots of kids were getting wet and splashed with water.

In the end of the fun day  the Teachers 

tallied all the points together .
