The Best Time Of Swimming

When I first got in the water it was freezing cold the instructor told me to do stream line.  When I got moving I was getting more warmer than before. Some of us versed each other and raced. Then we swam backwards. We sometimes knocked into each other.

We then split into Three teams.  My team first swam on their back 2 times. We then practiced floating on our back for as long as we can I... did not win Oh No!  We did different styles and we almost finished we... Got Free Time!!   Some of us dived, did hand stands, raced, restyled.

We all enjoyed that I enjoyed it more.

I learnt to go faster by kicking under the water more, and to do big arm strokes.

How To Find Your destination

• Start from the X that is facing the hoop.

• Take 4 steps forward.

• Then turn right, and take 20 steps.

• Turn left, then take 5 medium steps, make sure there not too big.

• Turn right, when you turn right you will be facing a fence, take 10 steps from there.

• Turn left and you should be facing a house, take another 10 steps.

•  Finally turn right, and take one small step.

You have reached your destination.

What I Learnt

I learnt that you count your steps before you write them down.  I also learnt to make your number of steps smaller than 20 so that you don't confuse the person who's reading it.

To create my picture I skimmed through my book to find some facts.Then I went onto google drawing. I put 4 text boxes in each corner. I wanted to start by making my title 3D.  After that I then wrote my facts that was  from my  book.  To finish off I Changed some things like the background, the style of my title, I also did the same style from my title. 

That is how I created my picture.

What happened:

Greta and Josef had announced that they were getting married.  Which mum and dad had tears coming out. Hanna questioned about all that fuss.  That would also mean that Greta will be living far away / moving out.  Hanna would be board because there wouldn't be anyone to tell her what to do.

How To Sketch a portrait Of A Friend

To sketch your friend You will need:

• 2 peaces of paper

• sharp pencil

• ruler

Steps:1.First draw a medium size oval for the head. Make sure that the oval is not t-o-o small or if it's in the corner , it must be big enough so you can put your mouth,nose,and things.  If  you make a  mistake start with your other peace of paper.

2.Then use your ruler and make small line, not a straight just little lines going down.  want's you have done that you will need to do another line going across.  Then do another line under your line that went across .

3.Now you are going to draw you'r friend's eyes.  They might be big,or they might small but if you'll going draw them any size you must put gap in the line going down.  You don't want you'r friend's eyes almost to their ear's, you want them to be to be in the middle, but not touching each other.

4.Next you'r going to draw their nose.  if you don't know how to draw their nose then just put two lines that is in the middle line.  Then put a heart but just the top.  This  may be a little tricky so ask a teacher or someone in you'r family.

5.Finally you are going to draw  their mouth.  Their mouth could be a heart shape, if it is then draw a heart but wide.  Want's you've done that you can draw your hair.  Their hair could be curly or even long.

St Kent's

When  St Kent's College arrived we split into 3 teams so it would be even.  My team first played a game called octopus.  To play we needed 4 taggers and the rest of the people to go on the line.  It was kinda like ball-rush, but If you get tagged you need to stay still.  The St Kent's first called" if your a girl", the girls all ran as fast as they could,but some of them made it, and some got tagged.

Our next game was a game where there's two teams.  There was call Bulldogs Vs Varsity We listened for what we were going to play it was... T-ball. We've all gotten into our teams my  team was batting and the other team was  fielding .  So we batted,I was the last one to bat.  The ball one up and I hit it far and ran all three bases.

 Our games  finished and we all lined again.  The St Kent's Teacher said "thank you for letting us come to your school and for us to teach yous some games".  We then then thanked  the St Kent's  with a song.  After that we all said goodbye and one of the St Kenton student said" see you in two weeks". 

Commonwealth Games/What I Know

K:

Countries around the world go to Australia for the commonwealth games. Athletes play sports like shot-put, ice- skate and snowboarding. China, Iceland and Greenland are countries that have a lot of athletes especially china. My favorite Country is China because I like to watch Chinese people snowboard on hard ramps.

W:

I want to know when the commonwealth games started. My guess is 1931 but I'll find out. I also want to know what people wore when it started.  I think shot-put was the first game that was invented then discus and t-h-e-n- long jump.  I guess that people train to represent their own country.

L:

Strong Wind Hits New Zealand

Countries  Like Christchurch,Grey District, Selwyn, Westland, Tasman and Taranaki had got hit by the terrible gita cyclone. Almost 500 calls  were through the whole night.  Kaikoura  has now been shut down because of the  cyclone.  About 200  tourists from other countries are trapped in the south westland.

The Scary Monster That Disperses When You Go To Sleep

The scary monster hides under your bed,
suddenly you'll get goosebumps and feel very scared.

It could have teeth very sharp,
It can even make l-a-r-g-e claw marks.

The monster could be be orange or it could be yellow, it might be big or a little fellow.  

Monster's can hide because they want to eat, but  it might mostly  want your flesh and meat. 

Maybe they want to be your buddy, you may even laugh cause it only says  huggie.

you may even sleep with the it monster and it was really soft,  Then one day  you woke in the the morning and it was gone.

The Jungle

I walk in the jungle looking for the sea.
I say to myself "Where could I be?"

Suddenly I run there's a huge, large tiger.  
who has a large tongue and stinky saliva. 

I keep saying gross and I feel very sick,

if I don't run fast I'll be his first pick.

It is almost dark and I am so hungry.
my stomach feels empty it keeps on rumbling.

Then I find a tree with lots of fruit.
bananas, berries and coconuts too.

I need a place that's good for me, 
when I find a cave I'll snooze and sleep.
